AFAR PEOPLE

The Afar are spread over a territory called "Triangle Afar" whose three vertices are the DAHLAK island, the village of AWASH and RAS-BIR, people of nomadic origin of five million people now live in three different countries: Djibouti, Eritrea and Ethiopia. They are an ethnic group in the Horn of Africa who reside principally in the Danakil Desert in the Afar Region of Ethiopia, as well as in Eritrea and Djibouti. They  have an origin with LUCY, a skeleton dating from four million years. He was found in the Afar region to Houach. The great French paleontologists as Yves Coppens and American paleontologists, archaeologists Ethiopian and American, made a lengthy study have studied. The existence of Afar is very old.

The Afars communities practice ISLAM, but they also have their CUSTOMS, their TRADITIONS. They also have their EDUCATION is also better compared to other crops because the Afar have a spirit of laws. There is a proverb Afar that says: (koo liih anii macinay kamol ayyo mogolla) which means "I accept you in my home as a brother but I do not accept that you put my authority questioned" and therefore the Afar have still not agreed to be humble, being crushed, therefore they are in conflict with the rest of ethnic groups.
Afar in the culture, dance is an important and supports the important moments of life. Dance (LAALE), performed exclusively by men, or dance (MALABO), performed exclusively by women and dance (KEEKE) together men and women, for example, accompany the ceremonies of marriage. In the Afar traditional register, there are games (SAXXAQ and KASSOW), songs of praise (GAALI SAARE and FARAS SAARE ) and prophetic words of the soothsayer (ADAL).

The Afar Triangle of Ethiopia (11.5N, 42.5E) is a very active plate tectonic region. The region is stressed by Saudi Arabia moving away from Africa and East Africa tearing itself away from the rest of Africa. Because of the plate movements in three different directions, The Afar Triangle is stretched thin and torn resulting in a series of faults seen as long parallel valleys. There is frequent volcanic activity and lava flows occur along the faults.
